Hotel overview

Set along the tranquil shores of Deschambault Lake, this resort hotel offers a rustic yet comfortable retreat for travelers seeking quiet and outdoor adventure. Spacious cabins with double bunk beds provide ample room for groups and families, while cozy rooms within the main lodge offer clean and simple accommodations.

The fishing here is a major draw, with well-equipped boats available for rental, supported by staff that clearly take pride in maintaining boats and gear. Anglers frequently praise the quality and variety of fish, making it a favored spot for both ice fishing and summer excursions.

Guests appreciate the warm hospitality of the family-run resort, which ensures organized facilities, clean showers, and a friendly atmosphere enhanced by a resident pet cat. While insect presence can be notable during warmer months, the natural setting and scenic views often steal the spotlight.

“A group of us stayed in cabin 12. It had 5 double sized bunk beds. It was a very spacious cabin, lots of room for all of our gear. I rented a fishing boat, it was equipped very well and the motor started 1 pull every time. The owners and staff were very friendly. You can tell that they care lots about their business. Everything is organized and is well taken care of. I had a great weekend and would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone!”

“This is the first review I’ve ever given. I was at DLR for the past few days with my 75 yr old Mum and Dad plus Weimaraner barking dog. The fishing was as good as it’s always advertised. The owners are a lovely 3 generation hard working family making sure everything is right for their guests. On checkout day, they came by to make sure everything was alright. The fishing is world class, so support DLR and we’ll all have a place to stay while filling our boats.”

“This place is amazing. You catch tons of fish all sizes. Their rooms are amazing too, they have showers. They have a pet cat that loves attention. The one problem is that there are TONS OF BUGS!!!!!!! But that is not there problem so that won't affect the rating. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. When I went fishing in the evening, the sun set was unbelievable!!”

“Stayed for one night in the hotel portion and have been there several times before in my travels. Clean facilities and the room was rustic and very comfortable. The scenery will blow your mind and the fishing is apparently great there during June. I didn't get a chance to fish as I was tired. Speaking to someone at the dock they had caught a few pickerel of decent size! Next time I will fish. The staff are warm and friendly and the resort is very kid friendly. You will be overwhelmed with the scenery and the people there will make it that much more better. Food is excellent too. Highly recommend this rare gem of the North. Camper friendly as well.”

“Come here every year to ice fish, the fishing is great. The cabins are clean and have everything accept running water. They supply you with a water jug. Bathrooms and showers are in the main lodge, showers and clean and have lots of hot water!”

“Great camping and fishing resort! Quiet, picturesque and relaxing. Owned and operated by a fantastic family that you should get to know and love! Showers and bathroom access 24/7. Gas and Diesel available. Boat rentals available. Even have a filleting house for you to clean your daily catch. Food from the restaurant is good quality. Prices at the restaurant and shop are a touch high, but what do you expect being so far out? Everything is worth it! We cant wait to come visit again!!”
